(L. caesius, sky blue) Discovered by Bunsen and Kirchhoff in 1860. Found in lepicolite, pollucite ( silicate of aluminum and cesium). The most alkaline and electropositive element. Liquid at room temp., along with mercury and gallium. Cesium hydroxide is the strongest base known.
